A day filled with sunshine and blooming opportunities

Positivity blooming and dreams flourishing like never before. Friday 21st of July, the sun so bright, making the day young, everything green reflecting its’ beauty. What a wonderful day it is here at the verge of the city of Lae, one of the lovely places to be, Tent City.

I as a student attending a Writer’s Workshop for Aspiring Writers in Lae am excited and thrilled to discover what is in store for me.

As a deep soul who loves reading, one of my favorite authors is Jodi Picoult and the way she writes captivates my soul, my interests, my mind and my heart most importantly. I would say she is my role model as far as my interest goes in reading and I look forward to being an author like her one day.

Writing above all is amazing in itself and I mostly write down my thoughts, my emotions, my expectations because life can be simple but complicated at the same time. Chaos and success both always around the corner. That is why expect disappointment so you can never be disappointed in life.

Most of the people sitting around me now are contributing, expecting, persuading their own careers, dreams, beliefs, aspirations, accepting what this workshop is throwing at them, fighting without giving up.

Birds chirping, cool breeze across the lawn making it so easier to breathe in life and letting go of all negativity. Children cheering in the schoolyard bringing back lots of memories when I used to think life was that easy. Grades don’t measure intelligence and and age doesn’t define maturity so whatever it is that is out there in the world, I am willing and determined to grab it without hesitation after the completion of this Writers’ Workshop.
