Luxurious Hilton Residences to launch in mid-2023

Boasting of 18 floors and 180 residential suites, the Star Mountain Plaza Hilton Residences is set to be the next biggest attraction in Port Moresby as far as luxurious modern living is concerned.

Hilton Hotel, a global brand, launched the first stage of its’ Star Mountain project in 2018 through Hilton Port Moresby, which is currently in operation.

With work on the second stage of the project nearing completion soon,  an executive team led by Hilton Port Moresby Hotel and Residences General Manager Mr. Ryan Mikkelson conducted a tour for the media on the 21st of March 2023.

Hilton Residences, expected to launch in July 2023, comes fully kitted with amenities such as a recreational area, hub work office spaces located on all floors, a bar and bistro eat and drink area, a gym and outdoor pool facilities.

The residential spaces will comprise of studio rooms, one-bedroom, two-bedroom, and three-bedroom apartments which will be available for rent to expatriates and interested families who are looking to experience modern luxurious living in a safe and peaceful environment.

Mr. Paul Hutton, Area Vice President and Head of Australasia at Hilton Asia Pacific, said that Hilton Hotel is a global brand that operates in many countries around the world and as such, its’ priority is on selling the experience that can only be found at its’ hotels.

“We are looking forward to accommodating expatriates and interested families who would like to stay and experience the Star Mountain Plaza Hilton Residences and aim to deliver on our promise of world class experience,” Mr Hutton said.

The Hilton Residences once in operation will provide an additional 150 jobs for Papua New Guineans on top of the 250 staff that the hotel currently employs.

Stratum Group is the contractor for the “Star Mountain Plaza Hilton Residential Project”. They have been engaged in an end-to-end scope of the building and construction process, ranging from design and procurement, development management and facilitating commercial feasibilities.
